While we didn’t have space for everyone on our competitive teams this season, we believe every player deserves a path to grow. That’s why we’re inviting you to be part of our FUTURES Program — a high-quality, quarterly program that includes professional training, gameplay, and optional tournament play to keep you sharp and confident.

what’s included

WEEKLY TRAINING

Just like our Junior Academy, the CFC FUTURES Program is led by Coerver® trained staff utilizing Coerver’s world-recognized curriculum. The focus is on individual player development with a small-sided team element included in the programming.

Our staff will utilize a plan that blends the Coerver curriculum with basic team principles throughout the year to help ensure each player is ready for their future in soccer.

For the summer quarter, training will be 1x per week for 8 weeks. Day and time TBD.

GAME PLAY EXPERIENCE

All participants will be placed into teams in CFC’s Summer Recreational Program, competing in the 7v7 division. This gives players a regular, structured game environment to apply what they learn in training.

Players will play with other players in the FUTURES program and be coached by CFC staff.

OPTIONal TOURNAMENT OPPORTUNITY

At the conclusion of the summer, players will have the opportunity to compete in the Cherry City Cup, a fun, local tournament hosted by CFC over Labor Day Weekend.

  • U8–U10: Entered into 7v7 Division

 

Is this the right program for my child?

  • The program is for players that were born in 2018-2016 (U8-10)

    As players move to the “competitive” and “premier” pathways, teams are organized by birth year, not grade.

  • Cost for the summer quarter is a total of $250. This can be broken into monthly payments.

    This cost Includes coaching and director fees, equipment, field rentals, tournament costs, league fees, and a ball for each player.

    All FUTURES participants will receive a Capital FC Futures Jersey (jersey, short, sock)

    Due to the amount of need, scholarships are not available at this time for this program.

  • The program is aimed at players who show a high interest and commitment level but do not necessarily have the skill to participate on a competitive team at this time.

    The most important part of choosing if this is the right fit is to ask the question: does your player have a passion and love soccer? All players who participate will make significant improvements through the course of the program.

  • Season Length: 8 weeks (summer quarter)

    Practices: 1 practice per week (1 hour length)

    League Play: 1 game a week as a part of CFC’s Summer Rec Program (midweek games for 6 weeks)

    Tournaments: Optional - participation in CFC’s Cherry City Cup over Labor Day Weekend. Tournament will consisting of 3-4 games on Saturday, and Sunday.

  • For CFC’s Supplemental Program, all practices are held either at Capital FC’s Complex, Pioneer Sports Park, or at Salem Indoor.
